Police: Missing persons band member dies in hospital

The death of a missing persons bandmember has been ruled a suicide, officials said Saturday.

A 23-year-old woman who went missing in August died of natural causes in the hospital Friday, said Lt.

Joe Ritter of the Marion County Coroner’s Office.

She was found dead by a passerby in her apartment complex at 6:15 a.m.

The coroner’s office identified her as Tiffany G. Lee.

Police found the woman’s body inside her apartment after responding to a 911 call about a missing person, Ritter said.

The coroner’s investigation determined that Lee’s death was a suicide.

She had not been in the apartment since Aug. 23, he said.

The cause of death was not immediately available.

Lee was from the Bloomington, Ind., area, but was living in the Bloomingdale neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio, according to a GoFundMe page set up for her.

Lee was reported missing to police the day after her disappearance.

She was last seen leaving a Starbucks on Aug. 27 and was last heard from on Sept. 10.

A GoFundMer page has raised nearly $7,000 for Lee’s family.

The campaign page has since been shut down.
