President Donald Trump: I have ‘no idea’ if he was wiretapped

President Donald Trumps administration has dismissed the allegations that he was secretly wiretapped by former President Barack Obama, saying the former president would never have made such an allegation.

Trump said on Thursday that the allegation is “ridiculous,” “totally false” and “a lie.”

He added that he doesn’t know if President Obama or former President George W. Bush was wiretapping him.

The President said he would have no comment on the matter.

Trump made the comments in response to a question from Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson.

“I don’t know whether he was tapped by Barack Obama or George W Bush,” Trump said.

“I don`t know what the hell happened.

I just don’t.

I don’t believe it at all.

I have no idea.”

Trump added that the alleged tapping was not “tapped” in the same way the government did with President Richard Nixon.

“He never did tap my phones,” Trump told Carlson.

“It was a different wiretap.

I think it was a new wiretap.”

Trump said he believes the President is “a very loyal person” and that the “biggest thing he did is he is very loyal to me.

I do believe he is a very loyal man.”

Trump also denied being wiretapped.

“Nobody has been wiretapped,” Trump added.

“Nobody has.”

Trump, a Republican, won the election last November by a razor-thin margin over Democrat Hillary Clinton.
